Engineering A Survival Guide

The basic and most important fact that an engineer must required is the mathematical ability or arithmetical ability.  You must have good mathematical skills because engineering only deals with mathematics.

When I search for the meaning of the word on the dictionary, it says that;

Engineering is the profession in which knowledge of the mathematical and natural science gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgement to develop ways to use economically the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind.

As a Mechanical Engineer, I can say that an Engineer must learn the basics of all branches of engineering, not only your subject and when you learn something you must think of the application of that subject to the society, because we are doing professional course.

I strictly say, you must not study engineering for marks or a job, you have to learn something for y our knowledge.  Then marks and jobs are automatically follows you.

Another thing you keep in your mind is that during your engineering carrier along with your academic books and texts, you must read some engineering magazines also, because the things you have in your text books are written many years ago, but now the things have been changed.  Every day new inventions and developments are taken place. So l you must be aware of these new developments.
